Blimeys @ Roselle
“Blimey, that’s a great view!”
Blimey's, your Romantic getaway on the Otago Peninsula
Nestled in a rural setting, 30 minutes from Dunedin city, our accommodation is perfect for relaxation, a romantic getaway or adventure. Whether you’re looking for tranquility or to embark on outdoor adventures, our retreat is the ideal destination.
From 1929- 1954, the original homestead belonged to a man called Blimey Smith aka George Smith. Blimey Smith frequently used the word "Blimey" In 1979, the homestead was pulled down and in 2024 the new Blimeys tiny home was built. Blimeys @ Roselle incorporates modern design and furnishings with natural wool and wooden textures for comfort and sustainability. We haven't forgotten the past: look for the glass bottles used for vases and home perfumes, these artifacts were found when the site was excavated. The Robyn White print on the wall is of Blimeys old homestead.
